BUSI 698 MBA Consulting Project (Group Field Project) Course

Dear first-year full-time Smith MBA students:

The attached form is the application for the BUSI 698 MBA Consulting Project (Group Field Project) course. I’ll use it coupled with your resume to get a sense of your background, and your career interests going forward, to decide which students are the best fit for the BUSI 698 Consulting Project experience. Please give some thought to your answers, as I will also use the information you provide as an input in forming the BUSI 698 consulting teams. The selection process will favor two types of students: 1) Individuals who already have extensive consulting experience who wish to reinforce that, or 2) Individuals who have little or no consulting experience, but who are very strongly motivated to work closely with a firm on a project of the firm’s choosing.

I anticipate that at most 25 students will be selected and 4-5 teams formed. We expect that 1-2 project teams will be set aside for a non-profit sector experience in cooperation with our Net Impact group. If you have a preference for working with a non-profit client, please indicate that.

Students selected will be notified by May 16, 2008.
