The 2008/2009 GA Selection Process Information Session
The 2008/2009 GA selection process will begin on Friday, March 28 and is open to all rising second year MBA students. The following information will help you navigate through the process, but if you have specific questions please contact Dustin Hodgson at

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The GA open enrollment period will begin on Friday, March 28. The MPO will email all available GA openings on this date.
- Students can apply for more than one position but can only accept one GA position.
- There is no deadline for students to hand in application/resumes, however units will begin reviewing application/resumes on Friday, March 28. Therefore, you may want to submit these materials to each individual unit on this date.
- Students are required to submit their official response decision to their desired units by Thursday, April 10 or the position can be revoked
- GA position allocation from year to year are never guaranteed. If you currently hold a GA position and wish to continue working for this department for the following school year, you must take part in the application process. You can re-apply for your same position and/or apply for another position. However, you can only accept one GA position.
GA INFORMATION SESSION
In an effort to make sure you have all the information you need, MPO will host a GA Information Session. During this session faculty members will explain job duties, pre-requisites, expectations, and anticipated work schedule. You will also have an opportunity to ask general questions.
This session will be conducted on Friday, March 28 in Frank Auditorium from 12:30pm – 2pm.
GA SELECTION PROCESS TIME LINE
Friday, March 28 Students will receive the GA job description email and can begin applying. Please note that no decisions can be rendered until April 8.
Note: It is the responsibility of the student to coordinate with each individual unit regarding application(s) and/or resume materials. The interview process and times are left to the discretion of each individual unit.
GA Information Session will be conducted in Frank Auditorium from 12:30pm - 2pm.
Tuesday, April 8 Units can release GA offers starting at 8am (Important: Due to equity reasons, decision will not be released until April 8).
Note: Students can begin accepting offers on April 8. It is up to the students and units to negotiate expectations. Students are required to submit their official response decision within a 48 hour time period or the position can be revoked.
Thursday, April 10 Students are required to submit their official response to their desired unit or the position can be revoked.
Friday, April 18 New GA hires will be finalized and a formal offer letter can be generated
Monday, April 21 All hired GA’s MUST set up a meeting with Mary Crowe-Kokonis to submit their formal hire letters and review the payroll and benefit information.
