The Robert H. Smith School of Business recognizes the importance of keeping all students up-to-date on the latest information and events at the Smith School. As a result, the Smith School has made a major commitment to use e-mail as the principle mode of administrative communication between the faculty, MBA Programs office, and the student body. Additionally, the Smith School web site provides students with up to date information along with convenient electronic links to many valuable resources within the University. It is the responsibility of the student to stay informed. E-mail accounts and the web site are important mediums of communication and students should check them frequently. E-mail (Lotus Notes) group lists are established for communicating with student groups and messages sent to these addresses are also seen by the MBA faculty and staff.
Evening and weekend MBA students who are unable to visit Van Munching Hall frequently can have their e-mail forwarded from school to their office or home. Visit http://www.rhsmith.umd.edu/smithit/toolsandservices/profiledoc.html and click “Update Profile” to change your forwarding address. This is a self-governed system, which will require your login name and password. If you have forgotten your password, please send an email to helpme@rhsmith.umd.edu indicating your name, ID, graduation date and password of your choice.
An introductory class will be held during orientation for those students that are not already familiar with the business school’s e-mail application, Lotus Notes.
